Our human resources department is receiving some well-deserved attention thanks to a couple of individual awards.
Tonja Sowder, our senior human resources consultant, was featured in the Dec. 20 edition of the Wichita Business Journal and online as part of that publication’s Women Who Lead series, which recognizes female business leaders in the region from various industries for advancing their profession and contributing to the success of others.
Tonja, who is one of the longest-tenured Syndeo employees, is included with other HR professionals in the community. Tonja started with Syndeo in 2003 and has been instrumental in growing and developing our HR team into what it is today.
In the Women Who Lead feature, Tonja describes her leadership style as one that provides empowerment, support and encourages collaboration.
She says one of her greatest rewards is seeing those she has mentored perform at high levels that allow them to attain personal and professional goals.

This recognition added to a growing list of honors for Syndeo and its employees.
Connor Cross, with Syndeo since 2009, also will be honored as part of the Business Journal’s HR Professionals Awards in February. The honorees were announced Dec. 19.
Other awards to our credit include Best Places to Work, the Innovation Awards, Best in Business, 40 Under 40, Women in Business and the CFO Awards.
